My works, created with found imagery that is cut, sliced, and layered on painted wood boards, are surreal representations of the wildlife of the American West. They are my interpretation of a Trophy Mount, a moment of crowning and immortality. With the use of familiar religious iconography of the halo, these images challenge the viewer to sit in between familiar and uneasy.
